Dough Journal

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 24 March 2026

What we collect

When you sign in with Google, we store your name, email address, and profile picture. We also store the bake logs, journal entries, starter records, and feeding history that you create within the app.

How we use your data

Your data is used solely to provide the Dough Journal service — displaying your bakes, tracking your starters, and enabling comparisons between entries. We do not sell, share, or use your data for advertising.

Storage and security

Data is stored in a PostgreSQL database hosted on Neon (EU region). Connections are encrypted via TLS. Authentication sessions use secure, HTTP-only cookies.

Error tracking

We use Sentry to collect error reports and performance data. This may include technical information such as your browser type, operating system, and the actions that led to an error. No personal content (journal entries, notes) is sent to Sentry.

Data deletion

You can delete your account at any time from the Settings page. This removes your personal information (name, email, avatar) and all login sessions. Bake records are anonymised and retained for aggregate statistics.
